SUBMITTING AN ABSTRACT
FOR A PAPER OR PANEL


SASA VI is accepting submissions of abstracts for individual papers as well as complete panels (3 presenters).

Paper and Panel Guidelines
  • Papers should be designed for 15-18 minute delivery, at a maximum.
  • Panels should be designed for 75 minutes, maximum.
  • Abstracts of 200-300 words maximum for each paper are required via attachment to an email to the Program Chair (see below for submission guidelines).
  • Proposals for panels should include an abstract for each paper with biographical information on each presenter.
  • Do not submit your proposal with diacritical marks. Please use phonetic transliteration instead of diacritical marks.

The Submission Process
Ensure that your abstract is within the 200-300 word range, is single-spaced, and is in one of the following formats:
.doc; .docx; .rtf; .txt; .odf.
Include a short (200-300 word) biographical sketch in the same document as your abstract.
Attach this document to an email sent to this address:
program@sasia.org
The subject line of the email should read:
"SASA 2012 Submission"
Use the body of the email for any comments or questions for the Program Director, Dr. Muthusami Kumaran.

Submission Deadline
The deadline for submissions is March 15, 2012. The program chair, Dr. Muthusami Kumaran, will respond to submissions via email within three weeks.

Registration Information
Presenters are required to register for the conference within two weeks of acceptance or be automatically dropped from the program. Payment for registration will be processed by mail or online through PayPal. If a presenter must cancel the registration before March 15, 2012, a 50% refund of the registration fees will be made. There will be no refunds after March 15, 2012.

All Active Academics & Practitioners 195 USD
Retired Academics & Graduate Students 115 USD
Your registration fee includes admission to our Welcome Reception, four coffee breaks, two catered lunches, and the SASA Annual Awards Banquet.
